This movie was shot at the Femmine Island (Women’s Island) in Sicily, within the recidence Progetto Isole,in collaboration with the artist Sara Basta.
The artists represent the memories narrated by the old women of the village.
These memories consist of a group of women washing wool with sea water that will later be used as mattresses of these married couples. This rite was done only before the industrial production of mattress.
The narrated memories are the soundtrack of the movie that tries to reconstruct historical events without using other sound sources. Then the memories of the teller, portrays that the time that have passed with deep emotions. In this way the reality changes based on the humanity that have lived it.
